Tips and Hints

The Market for independent Journalists

Many journalists in Kenya are facing challenges on where to publish their articles after researching and doing follow ups. This is because major media houses are interested in articles that can sell their papers or attract advertisers. In other media houses articles compete for space and unfortunately in most cases politics carry the day.

It is for this reason that RoGGKenya compiled a list of alternative media outlets that journalists in Kenya can use to publish their articles. This is an effort to inform journalists of the existing spaces and also make it easy for the media houses to get content.

These outlets are majorly online and operate differently from the major media houses because they focus on specific topics.

The list provides the area of coverage and contacts for the journalists to follow up and submit their articles.
